Health & Benefits Debit Card

Welcome to Pinnacle | Health & Benefits!

Now that you have received your new debit card, be sure to activate it by calling 866-898-9795. Please note that if you have a Health Savings Account, you are required to accept the terms and conditions for your new account by logging into the online portal for the first time using the steps below before you can access the funds in your account.

You can use your card to purchase IRS-qualified health-related items and services pay medical, dental or vision bills; or reimburse yourself for qualified expenses with cash from an ATM.

How can I find out the balance in my account?

If you have not registered for the Pinnacle | Health & Benefits portal, please follow the steps below. Once you are logged in, you can see your balance, track your spending and capture images of receipts.

  1. Go to PNFP.com/HBlogin and scroll to the bottom under 'New User?' to create your new username and password.
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions, filling in your first and last names (be sure to use your legal name), zip code and Social Security number. Click the 'Next' button.
  3. Create your username and password. The password must have a minimum of 8 characters, contain upper and lowercase letters and at least one number. Click the ‘Next’ button to continue. Please keep a safe record of your username and password.
  4. Select and answer three security questions and click the ‘Submit’ button to complete the process. Please keep a safe record of your security questions for future reference.
  5. HSA account holders will be prompted to read and agree to the Terms and Conditions for an HSA. Click ‘Read and agree’ to open each agreement. After scrolling through and reading, click the box that says, “I have read and agree…” or “I have read this notice” and submit when all are completed. The HSA is not fully activated until you complete reading and accepting the Terms and Conditions.

This completes the account setup, and you are now logged into the account! A complete user guide is available here.

If you haven't already, you'll want to download our Pinnacle | Health & Benefits mobile app. You can find it in the Apple app store here or Google Play store here. You'll use the same username and password you created when you registered for the portal.

How will my new card work at a store?

You can use your card to make IRS-qualified medical purchases at approved merchants. Your new Pinnacle | Health & Benefits card will recognize and allow payment only for IRS-qualified medical purchases at approved merchants. This means you may need more than one payment method to complete your entire purchase, because your Health & Benefits card typically authorizes only certain items. At the card terminal, please use the credit option instead of debit. If asked for your PIN, hit "enter" and run it as credit. The exception is Walmart, which requires the PIN.

You can search for merchants that use an inventory information approval system (IIAS) to identify items that are HSA/FSA eligible or that indicate 90% of their inventory is FSA/HSA eligible.
