Pinnacle Earns 23 Greenwich Excellence and Greenwich Best Brand Awards

Research shows quality service and culture contribute to growing market share

February 22, 2022

Pinnacle Financial Partners brought home 20 Greenwich Excellence and three Greenwich Best Brand Awards for 2021. These awards are national and regional honors earned by banks who have measurably distinctive brands and service quality for small business and middle market clients. Pinnacle won more of these awards than any other bank in the Southeast.

“Once again, these awards prove to us that we are living up to our vision of being the best financial services firm in the Southeast,” said Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s president and CEO. “Since our founding we’ve been people focused and service driven. These guiding principles continue to set us apart, and these accolades amplify why we are among the best in the entire country. Coalition Greenwich is the leading global provider of data, analytics and insights to the financial services industry, and its data shows that Pinnacle is distinctive from the competition. This is why we invest in and focus on significant, consistent and long-term investments in both our people and our culture.”

Greenwich Best Brand Awards are based on interviews with nearly 23,000 small business and middle market business leaders about experiences with their bank. Of more than 500 banks evaluated, only 13 were found to have a measurably distinctive brand among small businesses. Pinnacle was honored with the Greenwich Best Brand Awards for small business banking in the categories of Trust, Ease of Doing Business and Values Long-term Relationships, which are widely recognized as the keys to client satisfaction and loyalty.

Of middle market banking, “Despite all the emphasis on digital banking, middle market companies are sending the strong message that what they want most from their commercial banks are meaningful conversations with informed and skilled relationship managers,” says Chris McDonnell Head of Digital Benchmarking at Coalition Greenwich.

According to Coalition Greenwich, “Since the start of the pandemic, a relatively small number of commercial banks have distinguished themselves from competitors by combining technology and day-to-day service that make it easier for clients to bank with insights from bankers that help improve clients’ businesses.”

“Pinnacle puts people first. Our unmatched service comes from how we’re built,” Turner said. “The research from Coalition Greenwich proves with plain data how valuable our associates are to our clients. These important connections make our growth sustainable even in difficult times by fostering deep loyalty in our associates and clients. Our associates elevate our firm by delivering on their promises and making it easier to do business.”
