Greenwich Associates honors firm for sixth consecutive year

March 30, 2016

Financial services research firm Greenwich Associates named Pinnacle Financial Partners a 2015 Greenwich Excellence Award winner for distinguished service in five categories.

Greenwich Associates evaluated more than 600 banks that serve small business and middle market clients, including the largest 50 banks, by conducting interviews with 28,000 executives across the country. Only about 5 percent of the financial institutions evaluated were selected as significantly better than their peers.

“We have built a culture where associates are encouraged to go above and beyond for our clients, and it has differentiated us from the other banks in our markets,” said Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s president and CEO. “As we grow in Memphis and Chattanooga, we’ll continue that same focus on client satisfaction.”

Pinnacle received regional awards for overall satisfaction in small business banking and middle market banking. The firm also won regional awards for likelihood to recommend in both categories and overall satisfaction of cash management in the middle market segment.

Greenwich Associates conducted interviews throughout 2015 to determine the award winners. The banks selected had a statistically significant proportion of “excellent” ratings relative to the overall mean.

Pinnacle Financial Partners provides a full range of banking, investment, trust, mortgage and insurance products and services designed for businesses and their owners and individuals interested in a comprehensive relationship with their financial institution. Pinnacle’s focus begins in recruiting top financial professionals. The American Banker recognized Pinnacle as the third best bank to work for in the country in 2015.

The firm began operations in a single downtown Nashville location in October 2000 and has since grown to more than $8.7 billion in assets at Dec. 31, 2015. As the second-largest bank holding company headquartered in Tennessee, Pinnacle operates in the state’s four largest markets, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville and Chattanooga, as well as several surrounding counties.
