Triad Best Places to Work 2020
Pinnacle Financial Partners is the No. 1 Best Place to Work among companies with 300+ associates in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, which includes Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point and surrounding areas. The Triad Business Journal named Pinnacle to the #1 spot in the extra-large companies category for its annual competition to find the region’s top workplaces. This is the second year in a row Pinnacle has earned a spot on the list, both at first place in the division, and one of many local workplace awards the firm has won in North Carolina.

The competition is based on third-party research from Quantum Workplace, a leading employee engagement firm. They send anonymous surveys to employees with closed and open-ended questions on culture, camaraderie and other criteria. Average scores from these surveys determine the final rankings and awards.
Dozens of companies are eligible, and only a handful are chosen as finalists.
“From the very beginning, Pinnacle was built to give associates the freedom to do what they do best,” Marks said. “We don’t have middle managers, we’ve reduced bureaucracy and we give local control to local leaders. When you combine that with firmwide purpose and targets, you get an unbeatable environment for loving your work.”
