Renda Burkhart Joins Pinnacle Financial Partners Board

Pinnacle Financial Partners announced today that Burkhart & Company, P.C. president Renda Burkhart, CPA has been elected to its board.

She joins 12 other prominent business and community leaders who serve as Pinnacle directors.

“Renda’s more than 35 years of experience in business financial management and understanding of the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets makes her an extraordinarily valuable addition to our board,” said Robert McCabe, Pinnacle’s chairman. “We are extremely pleased to welcome her as a director and know that her experience will serve Pinnacle and our shareholders well.”

Burkhart is founder and president of Burkhart & Company, P.C., a Knoxville-based certified public accounting firm that offers financial, accounting and tax consulting services to entrepreneurs and high net worth families.

Burkhart also co-founded Concorde Technologies, Inc., which provided integration of information system technologies and software solutions in specialized commercial environments. She was the company’s president through 1996. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Burkhart worked in the tax division of a large accounting firm.

Through the years Burkhart has served on numerous boards of public and private foundations, non-profit organizations and closely-held businesses. She currently serves on the boards of University Health Systems and the Cornerstone Foundation.

She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Burkhart earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee.
