Pinnacle Repeats at No. 1 on the List of Top Workplaces in Knoxville

June 25, 2018

Pinnacle Financial Partners has once again placed No. 1 on the Knoxville News Sentinel’s list Top Workplacesof Top Workplaces in the mid-size business category – the only company to earn back-to-back honors in the history of this list. The firm’s regional president, Mike DiStefano, was singled out for the Leadership award.

The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly called WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, just to name a few.

“We all take pride in having a great place to work, and we therefore all take responsibility for creating one too,” DiStefano said. “Every associate on our team plays an important part in making our offices engaging for each other and exciting for our clients. They all deserve to share in this honor, and I am proud to call them my Pinnacle family.”

Earlier this year, Pinnacle was listed by FORTUNE Magazine as No. 22 of their list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the United States and No. 3 on their list of the top financial services firms to work for. In 2017, American Banker magazine recognized Pinnacle as the country’s sixth-best bank to work for, and People Magazine named the firm one of 50 Companies That Care. That makes more than a dozen national awards for workplace culture in Pinnacle’s history, along with dozens of local and regional awards. Like the Knoxville Top Workplaces award, many of those are determined by employee surveys.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “It isn’t something organizations can buy. It’s an achievement they have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal. Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
