Pinnacle is One of Charlotte’s Top Workplaces

Pinnacle Financial Partners is one of the best places to work in Charlotte, NC. The firm earned the No. 7 spot on a list of Top Workplaces from The Charlotte Observer in the small companies category, which includes businesses with fewer than 150 employees.

“We have a lot of policies and processes in place that make our workplace engaging, but ultimately it’s our associates who make the culture special,” said Rob Ellenburg, Pinnacle’s regional president in southern North Carolina. “Our focus on work environment is the secret behind Pinnacle’s success. When associates love working here, they make their clients love doing business here. It’s also led to a 93 percent retention rate company-wide, which means clients get a consistent experience without unnecessary turnover. It’s a win-win.”

The list of Top Workplaces is based entirely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by the research firm Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, to name just a few.

“The Top Workplaces award is about much more than recognition and celebration,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “Our research also shows that these organizations achieve higher referral rates, lower employee turnover and double the employee engagement levels. It just goes to show that being intentional about culture delivers bottom-line results.”

This is the first time Pinnacle has won a workplace award in Charlotte. The firm was previously named the No. 1 workplace in the Triad region of North Carolina, the No. 5 Top Workplace in all of South Carolina, the No. 1 workplace in Memphis, TN, and the No. 2 Top Workplace in Knoxville, TN, among many others. Pinnacle has also earned more than a dozen national workplace awards, including:

Like the Top Workplace honor in Charlotte, many of these awards were determined by associate surveys.
