Pinnacle Financial Partners has contributed $10,000 to the American Red Cross to help the families of those who have been affected by the recent flooding in Baton Rouge and other areas of Louisiana.

“Nashvillians know how devastating flooding can be, given that we endured a significant flood six years ago,” said Harold R. Carpenter, Pinnacle’s chief financial officer and board member of the Nashville Area chapter of the American Red Cross. “Our community received a great deal of support then, so it’s only fitting that we help others get back on their feet now.”

The flooding in Louisiana is the worst natural disaster to hit the United States since Superstorm Sandy in 2012 and has affected as many as 110,000 homes. Early estimates predict the massive American Red Cross relief effort in Louisiana could cost at least $30 million.

"Thousands of people in Louisiana have lost everything they own, and many others need our help now," said Joel Sullivan, Tennessee Red Cross Regional CEO. "We are grateful for the support Pinnacle has given to the American Red Cross helping us meet those critical needs."

Those wishing to make a donation to the American National Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund can do so by visiting redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word LAFLOODS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from these disasters.
