The Diener School in Maryland serves children with learning differences, focused on the child with a multisensory program for kids to learn in ways that make sense for them.
With a capacity of just 80 students, Head of School Kathy Chumas felt they could do more—more to serve the students they had and more to help even more families in the community. The dream was to own their own home and build a school just for them, with their kids' needs built in from the very beginning. A brand new STEM room. Breakout classrooms for personalized instruction. A Sensory room. Specialized art room. Double the square footage and a 50 percent increase in enrollment.
They dreamed big and needed a partner to make it a reality.
Being a small school, they weren't getting the attention they wanted from their bank. They felt Pinnacle understood the school's mission and what made Diener unique.
