Honors include multiple wins for client satisfaction and likelihood to recommend

February 15, 2017

Pinnacle Financial Partners continues its winning streak in the Greenwich Excellence Awards. This is the seventh year in a row the firm has earned this recognition, beating a personal record by winning in more categories than ever before.

In all, Pinnacle won eight awards including a sweep in the South region, where it won in every category for small business banking.

The awards are given both at the national and regional levels for small business and middle market banking. They are determined by surveys and interviews with nearly 30,000 business executives across the country.

On the national level, Pinnacle won in three categories for small business banking:

  • Overall Satisfaction
  • Likelihood to Recommend
  • Cash Management – Overall Satisfaction

In the South region, Pinnacle earned awards in all four categories for small business banking:

  • Overall Satisfaction
  • Proactively Provides Advice
  • Likelihood to Recommend
  • Cash Management – Overall Satisfaction

In middle market banking, Pinnacle won in the South region for Likelihood to Recommend.

“Because these awards are essentially decided by our clients, this recognition always means a lot to us,” said Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s president and CEO. “As we’ve grown, the number of service awards has grown with us. That’s proof positive to me that our culture of personal service from an urban community bank is deeply ingrained. As we take the Pinnacle culture from Tennessee to the Southeast, that service will remain intact and continue to be what separates us from the competition.”

Though more than 600 banks are eligible to win the Greenwich Excellence Awards, just a few dozen made the final list. To win an award banks had to score a significantly higher proportion of “excellent” ratings in interviews and surveys relative to the overall mean.

Less than two months ago, Pinnacle won Greenwich Best Brand Awards for small business banking based on trust and ease of doing business.

Pinnacle Financial Partners provides a full range of banking, investment, trust, mortgage and insurance products and services designed for businesses and their owners and individuals interested in a comprehensive relationship with their financial institution. The American Banker recognized Pinnacle as the sixth best bank to work for in the country in 2016.

The firm began operations in a single downtown Nashville location in October 2000 and has since grown to approximately $11.2 billion in assets as of Dec. 31, 2016. As the second-largest bank holding company headquartered in Tennessee, Pinnacle operates in the state’s four largest markets, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville and Chattanooga, as well as several surrounding counties.
