NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 30, 2013– Pinnacle Financial Partners is the No. 1 small business lender of banks headquartered in Middle Tennessee, according to an analysis of Sept. 30 call report data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

Pinnacle’s 5,031 outstanding small business loans totaled $681 million, putting the firm nearly $500 million above the second-place bank.

At Pinnacle, meeting the financing needs of owner-managed businesses is what we do best,” said Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s president and chief executive officer. “Given our focus on small businesses, it’s gratifying to be the Nashville-area bank that small business owners turn to most frequently.”

The full list of small business lenders can be found in the Nashville Business Journal’s Dec. 20, 2013 issue. All banks included on the list are headquartered in the nine Middle Tennessee counties: Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, Wilson and Montgomery.
