Pinnacle Financial Partners is bringing a strong and experienced talent on board in Knoxville to serve clients’ wealth management needs. Scott Schroeffel has joined the team at Pinnacle Asset Management, the organization’s unit for investment management and securities trading and execution.

Schroeffel comes to Pinnacle from SunTrust, where he started as a commercial banker in 1999 and moved into private banking 10 years later. Since 2012, he has worked as a financial consultant for SunTrust Investment Services, Inc.

“Scott knows all sides of banking, and that well-rounded experience is why he’s able to deliver comprehensive service to his clients,” said Mike DiStefano, Pinnacle’s Knoxville president. “We work hard to meet a client’s every need, from their business and personal needs to managing their investments. Scott’s commitment to listening to and advocating for those needs will help us strengthen our service to the people of East Tennessee.”

The team at Pinnacle Asset Management provides advice and services to businesses and individuals with significant investment needs. Advisors have access to the full suite of investment products offered by Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.

“Pinnacle’s commitment to and investment in East Tennessee is what drew me here,” Schroeffel said. “I’ve been watching and following their rise in Knoxville for many years and hearing from people how happy they are as clients. I am thrilled to be a part of that story and to have the robust resources of Pinnacle and Raymond James in my toolbox. That combination of Pinnacle Asset Management and the Raymond James platform will help me serve my clients with more depth, better service and an overall better investment approach.”

Schroeffel earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He was on the varsity baseball team and played in the 1995 College World Series. He also spent four years playing minor league baseball across the country. Schroeffel holds his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

The team at Pinnacle Financial Partners provides a full range of banking, investment, trust, mortgage and insurance products and services designed for businesses and their owners and individuals interested in a comprehensive relationship with their financial institution.
