New Pinnacle subsidiary will offer middle-market advisory services

Roger Osborne has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as a senior vice president and managing director of the newly formed PNFP Capital Markets Inc.

PNFP Capital Markets will partner with the firm’s financial advisors to offer corporate clients merger & acquisition advisory services, private debt, equity and mezzanine, interest rate derivatives and other selected middle-market advisory services.

“Launching PNFP Capital Markets supports our mission to deliver distinctive service and effective advice to clients with strategic, operating, financing and wealth management needs,” Pinnacle Chairman Rob McCabe said. “Roger’s outstanding reputation in the financial services community, combined with his 37 years of experience, makes him an excellent choice to lead this new endeavor.”

Most recently Osborne was the executive vice president of CARIS Healthcare in Knoxville, where he served from July 2012 through September 2014.

His extensive financial services and capital markets experience includes 22 years at SunTrust Bank, where roles included serving as Knoxville’s president, managing director and co-head of the Financial Institutions Group, and managing director and manager of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s Capital Markets Origination Group.

Osborne is on the board of directors and finance committee for Covenant Health, is chairman of The Development Corporation of Knox County, serves on the board and executive committee of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of Legacy Parks. He has served on the boards of East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, CARIS Healthcare, Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America, University of Tennessee Medical Center and the YMCA of Greater Knoxville.

Osborne earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Emory & Henry College and attended the Virginia School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia.

He is based at Pinnacle’s downtown Nashville office at Pinnacle at Symphony Place.
