Pinnacle Financial Partners now offers a free and accessible financial wellness series designed to strengthen individual finances and lay the foundations needed to build wealth. Consumer Mastermind is a comprehensive deep dive into the 12 essential consumer financial topics that contribute to overall financial wellbeing. Designed by Pinnacle, it’s offered in the firm’s offices across the Southeast at no cost to participants.

“Learning and partnership are two of our values at Pinnacle, and Consumer Mastermind is the perfect way to live them out while delivering on our commitment to improve quality of life in our communities,” says Danny Wilson, Pinnacle’s financial education program manager and creator of Consumer Mastermind. “Strong personal finances are the foundation to building wealth and leaving a legacy for future generations. Some people need to start at the very beginning to get their house in order, and others may just need a little more structure to a journey they’ve already begun. Regardless, everyone deserves a fair chance to strengthen their finances and build a financial plan that’s free from judgement.”

Consumer Mastermind brings people together in a safe and comfortable space where they meet weekly for six to 12 weeks. It’s split into two different six-week series and open to anyone who lives in the communities Pinnacle serves, whether they are a client or not. It’s led by a Pinnacle associate and is 100 percent free of any sales pitch. Each week, participants will learn about one of the 12 topics through open discussion and peer learning, with actionable advice and templates to help them apply the lessons to their unique situation. Topics include the basics, like saving and budgeting, to more complex needs like insurance, investing and estate planning.

“Consumer Mastermind is a refreshing break from the standard way of teaching financial wellbeing because it comes from a place of empathy and understanding,” said Casey Mulligan, financial advisor at the Pinnacle Economic Empowerment Resource (PEER) Center in North Nashville, TN. “It teaches the basics from a real-world perspective that recognizes it takes more than just writing a budget to make these practices work. Consumer Mastermind is built to dig deeper into the realities of life that can get in the way of financial freedom and help people build a personal plan for their unique circumstances. It has the potential to change lives in our communities.”

Consumer Mastermind joins the wildly successful Business Mastermind series, which Pinnacle has offered for many years. That series is designed to help business owners take the necessary steps to be able work strategically to grow their companies instead of just keeping up with day-to-day needs.

Sessions for both are available at Pinnacle offices in seven states, including at its PEER Centers in Memphis and Nashville. For more information and to sign up for an upcoming Consumer or Business Mastermind session, visit PNFP.com/Mastermind or contact a nearby Pinnacle office.
