Pinnacle Financial Partners continues to grow in Atlanta, adding to its team and its office network. The firm will soon begin construction on a new full-service office in Buckhead, marking Pinnacle’s first Atlanta expansion outside its flagship office in Riverwood. Pinnacle has also hired three veteran financial advisors to grow its commercial banking team, with Martin Small, Bobby Oliver and Aaron Binion recently joining the firm.

“The response to Pinnacle in Atlanta has been outstanding, and we’ve been eager to grow our reach for some time,” said Rob Garcia, Pinnacle’s Atlanta president. “Buckhead is a natural fit for us and convenient to any number of businesses and homes. This is the next step in our plan to build a network of offices so we can reach more people in more places with Pinnacle’s brand of service and advice.”

The new Buckhead office will be located at 3379 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 100. It will serve personal and business clients, offering Pinnacle’s full suite of financial services from deposit accounts and mortgages to wealth management and commercial banking.

Work begins soon to build out the existing space in Pinnacle’s distinct architectural design style. It will include 5,000 square feet with five private offices, three pods in the main lobby for financial specialists to meet clients’ daily needs and an ATM in the entry vestibule. The office will also include Pinnacle’s signature feature, a Learning Center with full audio-visual capabilities for meetings and financial education events with clients.

“Martin, Bobby and Aaron have come on board with 90 years of combined banking experience,” Garcia said. “Many people think of bankers as pure lenders. We believe they should be trusted financial advisors, helping clients improve their entire financial picture by connecting all the pieces together. These three have a proven track record, going back decades, of giving that level of all-around service and advice to Atlanta’s commercial and middle market businesses.”

Small comes to Pinnacle with 39 years of experience, working most recently at BB&T (now Truist) as a senior commercial relationship manager. He has spent almost his entire banking career in Atlanta, starting as a branch manager for Georgia Federal Bank and moving up into underwriting, management and business banking at institutions like First Union National Bank, Wachovia, Wells Fargo and Regions. Small earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina and serves on the boards of The Hospitality Business Network Foundation and the McCleskey-East Cobb YMCA. He will be based at the Riverwood office.

Oliver will also work out of the Riverwood office and brings 34 years of financial services experience. He comes from Cadence Bank, where he was an executive vice president and senior corporate banker for the last nine years. Oliver spent the first seven years of his career at Bank of America, working his way from personal banker to corporate banking officer. Since then, he has served as a tax consultant, credit executive and senior corporate banker in Atlanta at firms like DZ Bank and PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP. Oliver earned his bachelor’s degree, MBA and Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

Binion has 17 years of financial services experience, most recently at CenterState Bank in Buckhead, where he was a commercial relationship manager. Prior to that he worked at BB&T in the same role and SunTrust in small business banking. Binion began in Savannah, GA, at Capitol City Bank & Trust as a teller in 2004. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Savannah State University, his master’s from Clayton State University and is a graduate of the Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia. Binion will move into Pinnacle’s new office in Buckhead when it opens
