Pinnacle Financial Partners Expands COBRA and Employee Benefits Team with Four Experienced Advisors

March 27, 2026

Pinnacle Financial Partners has added four experienced financial professionals to its team specializing in health and benefits and other tax advantaged employee accounts. Shawnica Robinson, Amy Kincaid and Rick Chandler join the firm as health and benefits account managers, while Carmen Maalouf joins as a health and benefits COBRA advisor. All five bring deep experience serving employers and their employees across benefits administration, compliance and engagement.

“These are seasoned professionals who know how to take care of clients and their people,” said Mary Wettstein, health and benefits team leader at Pinnacle. “Each of them has spent years helping employers navigate complex benefit plans and compliance issues. They understand that behind every enrollment form is a person trying to protect their family. That’s exactly the mindset Pinnacle takes with our clients.”

Maalouf most recently led the COBRA and direct billing department at FloresHR, managing a team of more than 20 and overseeing compliance, process improvement and client service. She began her career as a COBRA specialist and has more than 20 years of experience in benefits administration.

Robinson also joins from FloresHR, where she served as an implementation account manager guiding employers through the setup of FSA, HRA, HSA and COBRA programs. Prior to that, she served as a benefits administration associate with Conduent, where she managed FSA, HSA, HRA and commuter accounts and handled complex client escalations. She held leadership roles in transaction processing and benefits administration, overseeing teams and quality control.

Kincaid also joins from FloresHR, where she served as an implementation account manager guiding employers through the setup of FSA, HRA, HSA and COBRA programs. She previously spent seven years with Estes Express Lines supporting benefits for more than 18,000 team members and managing FMLA and leave programs.

Chandler brings more than a decade of experience in employee benefits communications and account management, most recently with USI Insurance Services and Associated Benefits & Risk Consulting. He has partnered with HR leaders to improve benefits engagement and employee understanding across manufacturing, education, government and service industries.

The new team members are remote and able to help clients nationwide navigate and understand employer health and benefit products and plans.
