Pinnacle Expanding Corporate Retirement Services to Charlotte, Asheville and Upstate South Carolina

Bryan Edwards joins the firm to bring offering to new markets

Pinnacle Financial Partners is bringing its distinctive brand of corporate retirement plan Bryan Edwardsservices to new markets. The firm has hired Bryan Edwards as a trust services advisor to focus on offering employee retirement benefits to businesses in Charlotte, Asheville and Upstate South Carolina.

“Retirement plan services is poised to become a very important offering at Pinnacle, and Bryan’s experience and stellar track record of client service make him an excellent addition to our team,” said John Ehmig, Pinnacle’s manager of retirement services. “We always strive to meet all the needs of our business clients and their employees, including company benefit plans. Between retirement services, insurance and a robust group banking program, we can now offer comprehensive employee benefits in many of our markets.”

Edwards has more than 20 years of experience with institutional investment and retirement plan consulting. He specializes in working with large, complex plans, servicing them at every level. He can help companies design, manage and implement 401(k) retirement plans, serve as the plan’s investment fiduciary and educate employees on how to make the most of their retirement plans.

Edwards comes to Pinnacle most recently from Bank OZK, where he helped build the retirement services program in expansion markets. Prior to that he worked with institutional trust groups at First Citizens for eight years and Wells Fargo for 15 years.

Edwards earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, the Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP®) designation and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation. He also attained series 7, 6, 63, 65 and 24 securities licenses and a life insurance license for North Carolina.

Edwards is active in the local professional and nonprofit community with the Charlotte Benefits Forum, Southeast Benefits Education Network, St. Jude’s and Rotary Club of North Mecklenburg County. He is also active in The Cove Church’s Community Impact Outreach.
