Tom FoxPinnacle Financial Partners is expanding the scope of one of its signature teams with the addition of veteran financial advisor Tom Fox to the music and entertainment group. With this move, the group headed by Andy Moats will now cover music, entertainment and sports.

“Our team has built an incredible program based on understanding the unique needs of artists and the creative people who fuel our industry, and the sports world is the next natural step for us,” said Andy Moats, Pinnacle’s director of music, entertainment and sports.

Pinnacle already is the official bank of the Tennessee Titans, Memphis Grizzlies and FedEx Forum and has several related client relationships. The addition of Fox to this Nashville-based team will bring opportunities beyond those sponsorships to work with sports professionals, athletic organizations and the commercial businesses that support them.

“Tom knows that athletes and artists live their lives well outside of the normal nine to five, and he’s built his career by being a reliable, stabilizing force who can guide them toward their financial goals despite what their careers demand of them,” Moats said. “His leadership will help us build our offerings and extend our brand of service and advice to new clients nationwide.”

Fox has 29 years of experience in financial services, all of it working in the sports and entertainment industries. He comes most recently from Wells Fargo, where he was a senior vice president of private banking. Before that, he worked at US Bank as the managing director of the Private Client Reserve for Entertainment and Pro Sports. He also spent time at SunTrust as a vice president in the music industry group.

“I have long admired Pinnacle and its rise to become an integral part of the entertainment world in Music City and beyond,” Fox said. “The people on this team are dual industry professionals with firsthand experience in both entertainment and finance. Pinnacle has shown a concrete commitment to the sports industry through their work with the Titans and Grizzlies, and it’s an honor to help them further that legacy.”

Fox earned his bachelor’s degree at Birmingham-Southern College, where he played varsity baseball. He leads an active community service life through his work on the board of the Heimerdinger Foundation and previous service on the board of the Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee.
