Experienced Trust Professional and More Join Pinnacle Financial Partners in the National Capital Region

Veteran banking leader Justin Willis has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners in the National Capital Region as a trust portfolio manager, bringing 10 years of industry knowledge and experience. Also joining the firm is Marilyn Carrera, a financial advisor assistant with 20 years of experience, and Anita Carter, a treasury management analyst with 17 years of experience.

Willis comes from JP Morgan Wealth Management, where he served as a private client advisor. Prior roles include portfolio manager at Bank of America Private Bank, US Trust and financial advisor/financial planner at Principal Financial Group. Willis earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and his MBA in finance from the University of Maryland. Justin holds CFP®, CIMA®, and CPWA® designations.

Carrera joins Pinnacle from Capital One Bank. Previously, she worked as a branch operations specialist, senior branch operations specialist and branch operations support specialist at Capital One. Carrera earned her associate’s degree from Strayer University.

Carter joins Pinnacle from BB&T, now Truist where she was a commercial client specialist. Prior to that she was a relationship banker and teller. Carter graduated with an associate’s in business administration from Northern Virginia Community College and her MBA from University of Wroclaw in Poland.
