Online Banking Enhancements

Online Banking Enhancements

We are making several enhancements to Pinnacle's personal Online Banking this weekend. While these updates are taking place, Online Banking will be unavailable from midnight to 5 a.m. ET Sunday, Feb. 21.

If you have the "My Spending" tab, you'll notice the following after the updates are made:

  • Icons will be displayed beside each individual account on the home page.
  • If you have set up external accounts through My Spending, the outside account institution logo will be presented when available.
  • On the Transaction History page, icons will be displayed next to each transaction based on how it is categorized in My Spending. Each default category has a specific icon, while all custom categories you create will have the same default icon. You can disable the transaction category icons under Transaction Categories under All Services & Settings.

Recent activity for outside accounts will expand from 30 days to 60 days, depending on the outside institution’s limitations.

Coming in March: Debit Card Controls

Next month we will introduce debit card controls to help keep your accounts secure. When this feature launches, you will be able to:

  • Temporarily turn your card “off” if you misplace it.
  • Get email or text notifications if a purchase is over a certain limit or made in a certain channel—or all purchases, if you prefer.
  • Deny transactions over a certain limit or used in certain channels, such as online, at an ATM or via digital wallet.
  • Get alerted to or deny in-person international transactions.

Card controls will be fully integrated into Pinnacle’s Online Banking and mobile app. You’ll just click the “Cards” tab on your account page to get started. We’ll send more information about how to use this feature when it goes live.

Support for Edge Legacy, Internet Explorer 11 Ends This Year

It’s important to update your browser to the latest version to ensure uninterrupted access to Online Banking. Support for Edge Legacy, the default browser on Windows 10 PCs, ends on March 9. The newest version of Edge was released by Microsoft in January 2020. Similarly, support for Internet Explorer 11 will end on Aug. 17.
