Information Security Awareness and Merchant Card Changes

  • 03/31/2015
  • Pinnacle - Mt. Juliet Road
  • 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Free. Lunch provided.

Small businesses rely on the Internet for everything from sending email to managing bank accounts. Unfortunately, the same tool that allows us to work, communicate and even pay our bills efficiently can open us up to great risk without the proper training and education. Are you certain your employees could recognize a phishing email? Do your associates post photos online or access social media sites from your business? Are they throwing away sensitive information that could expose the business or your clients to fraud?

Join us for a discussion so you can educate your employees on security awareness.  We’ll also discuss what your business needs to know about EMV cards, including the implementation timeline, necessary equipment and date that financial liability for fraud losses will shift to merchants.

Presented by Mark Brown, Information Security Officer; David Sturdivant, Treasury Management Manager; and Gail Outland and Julie Lewis, Merchant Card Services Managers with Pinnacle Financial Partners
