Associate Volunteerism

Associate Volunteerism

All in all, Pinnacle associates logged more than 28,000 volunteer hours for 560 not-for-profits in 2016. The volunteer assignments and the range of organizations served are very broad. For example, some associates use their financial skills as members of finance committees of philanthropic organizations, religious organizations and various other community groups. Others volunteer their time to teach Junior Achievement classes or to participate in a race for breast cancer.

The full list of volunteer projects is too numerous to list here, so we update our Facebook page regularly with photos of community involvement, associate awards and partner events throughout the year.

Special Olympics has been a favorite Pinnacle volunteer project since the firm's beginning. Each year, Pinnacle associates and their families turn out for the annual Special Olympics to manage the bocce ball competition.

A blog posting by Pinnacle CEO Terry Turner summarized the experiences the Pinnacle associates have:  "Travis (participant) came back several times to hug me and say, "Thanks, coach." I went Saturday because I wanted to make a difference – I wanted to hug them. But what I was reminded of was just how much I needed their hug."
