Firm ranks #4 on Great Place to Work® 2012 Best Medium Workplaces list

October 25, 2012

Great Place to Work® named Pinnacle Financial Partners one of the best workplaces in the United States on its 2012 Best Small & Medium Workplaces list, published today in FORTUNE magazine.

Pinnacle ranked No. 4 out of 25 on the medium-sized list, which recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures. Now in its ninth year, the competition is divided into two categories: small (50-250 employees) and medium (251-999 employees).

Pinnacle was selected among hundreds of great places to work across the country vying for a spot on the list this year. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Great Place to Work® then evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

“Since our founding in 2000, we’ve focused a great deal on our culture and workplace environment because we had a vision to become the best place to work in Tennessee,” said Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s president and CEO. “Over the years Pinnacle has consistently received local awards for being a great place to work, and it’s a great honor to be recognized on a national level.”

“The Best Small & Medium Workplace list grows more competitive every year, and this list represents the best of the best,” said Susan Lucas-Conwell, global chief executive officer of Great Place to Work®. “While each company is unique, what they have in common are strong cultures that support positive workplaces.”
