AN HONORABLE GOAL
“My thoughts on what I do are simple; I like to help get people into homes. I’ve worked in the mortgage business for 28 years and each client is special to me. I’m proud of the team we have at Pinnacle and our ability to address each client individually and work to meet their needs in the best way we can. Home ownership is an honorable goal and I’m glad that I have a chance to be a part of the process.”

WE'RE NEIGHBORS
“I am a ‘homegrown Rutherford Countian’—born and raised in Rutherford County. It’s a joy to drive down the streets of my town and know that I’m helping fill those homes with owners. I’ve even been able to help people in my own subdivision purchase or refinance a home. When I help a client achieve their dream of homeownership, it’s more than a home that they get, it’s a community. I enjoy developing relationships with my clients and earning their confidence not only as a mortgage advisor, but also as a neighbor.”

NEVER GIVING UP
“I’ve learned from experience to never give up on home ownership for a client. A couple came to me after relocating to Murfreesboro for a new job. The couple had filed for bankruptcy the year before. We worked together to clean up and build their credit. After a year, we were able to get them approved on a great rate and they were buying a home. Their two children had never had a yard of their own to play in. Now they do.”

IT'S ABOUT THE PEOPLE
"I get both personal and professional satisfaction from working with the people who come to us for help. One couple with a new baby on the way came to me in the midst of renovating their home. They needed a new mortgage and wanted to secure it before the baby was born, but challenges kept arising with the renovation process. They were crunched for time. As the baby's due date crept closer, I had a frantic husband and a nervous mother trying to prepare a house while completion kept being delayed. We were able to be innovative and find options to overcome obstacles and close despite the construction delays. My clients literally closed their loan and left for the hospital to deliver the baby on the same day!"

TEAMWORK TO OVERCOME OBSTACLES
"We have a team at Pinnacle that knows the meaning of 'pitching in'. I worked with a first-time homebuyer who waited months for a builder to complete her house before receiving the news at the last minute that he would be unable to finish the house. It was the holiday season and she was nervous about not having a home for the holidays! She frantically withdrew her contract and had to switch to a new home-but the new contract was contingent on her closing in two weeks. We started from scratch on a new mortgage, reordering everything from the title to the appraisal. Because everyone worked together, we closed the loan in ten days, just in time for Christmas!"

A TEAM OF EXPERTS
"Working with the qualified team at Pinnacle allows us to deal with situations that most other organizations struggle with. I got a call one day from a man who had sold his own house and was trying to close on the mortgage to his new place. He started the loan application with another lender and waited and waited for approval. When he called me, he was on the verge of moving out of his sold house with nowhere to go! He asked if I could help with his emergency. Because of the expertise within our team, we knew exactly which documents to focus on and worked quickly and efficiently, closing the loan in two days. That can only happen when you work with a team of experts."

RE-DEFINING THE MORTGAGE EXPERIENCE
"Having our mortgage processors here and making decisions locally is a distinct advantage for our clients. Not long ago we lost a potential client when he decided it would be more convenient to finance through his realtor's mortgage company. I was very appreciative of the opportunity and offered our services to the client should he need anything in the future. The morning before the loan closing the client called and told me that the realtor's mortgage company had over promised and was not able to meet his closing date. Needless to say this was a huge problem for the homebuyer. We immediately had the loan package transferred to our office and had a closing package delivered the next morning for the loan closing. That's the advantage of having everything handled locally."

FINDING THE RIGHT SOLUTION
"One of the things I love about being a mortgage advisor at Pinnacle is the opportunity to help people find the right solution for their needs, particularly when we come up with something the client hadn't considered. One couple came in to apply for a mortgage on a new home. They already had a home they loved but thought they had to sell and downsize for financial reasons. After looking at their situation, we were able to refinance their existing mortgage, lower their payments and help them stay in a home they didn't want to leave."

THE "WOW" FACTOR
"I love to try to 'WOW' our clients. Probably the best example was the Arizona family that decided to finance elsewhere for their new home in Nashville. I was skeptical about whether they would be satisfied with their mortgage broker and asked the client to call me if something happened. Little did I know I would get a 5:30 p.m. call from a frantic wife whose family of five was packed up with the moving truck loaded when their mortgage broker called to decline their loan. I gathered the information I needed over the phone and came back that evening to get everything ready for processing. We were able to get the loan processed, approved, and funded the next day.
"Thankfully, not every experience is like this - but it's a great example of what we're trying to achieve for our clients."

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES
"There is a great satisfaction that comes from being able to help someone go through the process of buying their home. One of my clients here at Pinnacle was a single mother who had raised her family on her own and never expected to own her own home. As we sat at her loan closing, she thanked me over and over, telling me how fortunate and excited she was to buy a home and be able to show her daughter she was able to accomplish something so significant."

EXPERIENCE MATTERS
"I have spent over 20 years in mortgage banking, and personally helped thousands of people across middle Tennessee with their mortgage needs. There is tremendous satisfaction in becoming someone’s trusted advisor. I enjoy the education process, explaining every detail along the way, so that last minute surprises are eliminated. Asking many questions is as important to me as answering questions. The end result is a mortgage structure that is tailor-made to the individual. Often times, buyers are unaware of the many options available to them. By working toward forming a relationship, rather than concentrating on a single transaction, my clients and I are able to develop a plan that meets not only their immediate needs but also future goals and objectives."

IT ISN'T AS EASY AS IT LOOKS

"I love making things easy for our clients. One couple was moving across country with their two small children and came to me quite nervous about the process. They had relocated before and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. The last thing I wanted them worrying about was their home loan. After all, they were under a lot of pressure with the stresses of moving their family and getting the kids settled in school - not to mention starting a new life. By partnering with their realtor, we were able to close worry-free from hundreds of miles away. The couple was so grateful that the process went smoothly and they didn’t have to deal with any issues that would have complicated their move. That’s why I’m in the mortgage business."

FINDING A WAY TO MAKE IT WORK
"When you don't have to live by rules of standardization that are typical in large institutions, you can be creative and find solutions that work for each client's circumstances. One of my clients was relocating to Nashville and wanted to buy his home before he could actually start his new job. For most lenders, this would not have been feasible, because it's 'outside the box.' I was able to customize a loan that allowed my client to close on his loan and move into his new home before he could actually start work here."

EDUCATING MY CLIENTS
Phone: 615.743.6033 Fax: 615.743.6133
"With nearly 15 years of experience in the financial services/mortgage industry, I like to educate my clients on what products are best for them. In the past few years mortgage products have been sold to the consumer without regard to their needs. We are now experiencing the ramification these acts. People where placed into products they couldn't afford or were not educated properly on what they were getting. I focus on my clients needs by educating them on the mortgage process and finding a product that fits them personally. I meet with a older client recently that was being offered a product by a competitor that could have put them in a dire financial situation in a few years. I educated them on what they were getting and offered a alternative. I feel I saved them from possibly losing their home where they have lived for the past 30 years."
