Robert A. McCabe, Jr.

Rob McCabe has more than 30 years of financial services experience and has served as Pinnacle's chairman since its inception in 2000.

McCabe formerly served as vice chairman of the First American Corporation board and president of First American Enterprises. During his tenure at First American, he served in various roles, including executive vice president of retail bank and president and chief operating officer of First American in Knoxville and East Tennessee.

McCabe holds a bachelor's degree and a master's in business administration from the University of Tennessee. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

McCabe serves as a director of Knoxville-based SSC Service Solutions and Murfreesboro-based National Health Investors. He is chairman of Nashville-based Goldleaf Financial Solutions. McCabe is chairman of the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, the Middle Tennessee Boy Scouts Council and the Nashville Downtown Partnership. He is a trustee for the Ensworth School and a member of the World Presidents' Organization and Chief Executives Organization.

A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Turner received his bachelor's degree in industrial management in 1976. Following his graduation, he worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. as a consultant in Atlanta. He joined one of his clients, Park National Bank, Knoxville, Tenn., in 1979.

Turner joined First American National Bank, Nashville, Tenn., in 1985 as a result of its acquisition of Park National Bank. His banking career at First American covered 14 years and entailed executive level responsibilities for almost all aspects of its banking and investment operations. When his tenure ended in October 1999, Turner was president of First American Corporation's Investment Services Group.

Turner's community involvement in Nashville has been extensive. He has served as chairman of the Nashville Sports Council, chairman of the board of trustees for Brentwood Academy, advisory board chairman for the Salvation Army, vice chairman for the Southern Baptist Foundation, member of the board of trustees of Belmont University and the executive committee of the Nashville Credit Bureau.

Turner currently serves on the board of the Nashville Sports Council and Gaylord Hotel's Music City Bowl presented by Bridgestone. He is an active member in the World Presidents' Organization and is a member of numerous clubs and organizations, including Leadership Nashville.

Gary L. Scott

Gary Scott, a native of Middle Tennessee, has been involved in the area's banking institutions since his graduation from Austin Peay University in 1971.

Scott started his career in the Management Training program at Third National Bank and then moved to Cheatham State Bank in 1973, initially as executive vice president and then as chairman, president and CEO from 1986 through 1998. While at Cheatham State Bank, he attended both the Tennessee School of Banking at Vanderbilt University and the Graduate School of Banking of the South at LSU.

Prior to starting PrimeTrust Bank in 2001, Scott served as a senior vice president at First American National Bank. He continues to serve as chairman and CEO of PrimeTrust in addition to serving as chairman and CEO of Mid-America Bancshares, Inc., the two-bank holding company formed in June 2006 with the merger of PrimeTrust and Bank of the South.

Scott has held numerous leadership positions with the American Bankers Association and the Tennessee Bankers Association. In 2007 he was the recipient of the Tennessee Bankers Association Leader in Banking Excellence Award.

He holds numerous community leadership positions in Cheatham County and Middle Tennessee. He has served as a director for CSB Financial Corporation, Plateau Group, Inc., Plateau Insurance Company and Delta Dental Plan of Tennessee.

William David Major
President, Mid-America Bancshares and Chairman and CEO, Bank of the South

David Major is a veteran banker in Middle Tennessee community banks with extensive experience in the Wilson County market.

Major holds a bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University. During his banking career he has attended the T.B.A. School of Banking, the School of Banking of the South and FDIC Trust Schools.

Prior to becoming a banker, Major was a bank examiner for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions.

From 1976 - 1982 Major was with the Lebanon Bank. From 1982 -1984 he was president and CEO of the White County Bank in Sparta, Tenn., and from 1984 -1988 president and CEO of First Southern Bank in Mt. Juliet, Tenn. From 1988 - 1999 he was chairman, president and CEO of First Financial Corporation in Mt. Juliet. In the next year he served as a regional president for National Bank of Commerce (headquartered in Memphis).

Major joined Bank of the South in 2000 as president and CEO and has served as chairman and CEO since April 2004. He has been president of Mid-America Bancshares, Inc. since September 2006.

He has held leadership positions with the Tennessee Bankers Association and American Bankers Association as well as community endeavors, including president of the West Wilson Chamber of Commerce. Service on boards of directors has included Plateau, Inc, First Bank & Trust, First Financial Corporate, Northern of Tennessee Corp., Bedford County Bank, First Southern Bank of Rutherford County, First Southern Bank and White County Bank.
